Tamil99 Keyboard Layout Explained
Tamil99 is the standard Tamil layout on physical QWERTY keyboards in Tamil Nadu. Below is how it works and how to practice on TypingBit.
Basic key examples
Key a → அ (a). Key q → ஆ (aa). Key k → ம (ma). Key w → ீ (ii vowel sign). For மீ (mee), press k then w — not the English word "mee".
Shift keys access additional characters. Key f is used for pulli (்).
