Why Tamil99 instead of Tanglish?
Tanglish (typing "vanakkam" to get வணக்கம்) depends on IME software and varies by device. Tamil99 maps each physical key to one Tamil letter, matching government exams and office systems in Tamil Nadu.
Combining consonants and vowels
